FAQ
How Archies works
What is Archies Rentals?
Archies Rentals is an owner-operated car rental service in Miami that delivers the car to you instead of making you stand at a counter. The fleet runs from a $50/day midsize to exotics, every booking is handled directly by Eddy, the owner, and the whole rental works from your phone.
How does car rental delivery work in Miami?
Book your dates, tell Archies where you're staying, and the car is parked at your airport garage, hotel valet, Airbnb, or home before you arrive. Eddy texts the exact spot and access details. You walk to the car and drive — no counter, no shuttle, no line.
Is the rental really contactless?
Yes, end to end. Booking, contract, payment, pickup, and return are all handled digitally from your phone. The car waits at the agreed spot with access details sent by text, so no in-person handoff is required — useful when flights run late or plans move around.
Who do I talk to if something changes mid-trip?
Eddy, the owner, directly — 6am to midnight, every day, in English or Spanish. There's no call center, ticket queue, or hold music. Flight delayed, plans moved, want to extend: you text the same person who delivered your car and it gets handled.
What hours does Archies operate?
6am to midnight, every day. That window covers early cruise departures, red-eye landings, and most late Miami flight schedules. Deliveries and returns are scheduled inside it, and Eddy answers directly the whole time — so a delayed arrival is a text message, not a forfeited booking.
FAQ
Airport pickup — MIA and FLL
How does airport pickup work at MIA?
The car is parked in the MIA airport garage under your name before you land. Eddy texts you the level, the spot, and the access details, so you walk from baggage claim straight to the car and drive out. The rental counter and the shuttle never enter the picture.
Does Archies deliver to Fort Lauderdale (FLL)?
Yes. FLL works exactly like MIA: the car waits in the airport garage under your name, and Eddy texts the spot and access details before you land. If you're flying into one airport and out of the other, that works too — coordinate it by text.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing bad — the car is already parked and waiting, and the access details are on your phone. Text Archies your new arrival time so Eddy has it, and pick the car up when you actually land. A late flight doesn't cancel or complicate the rental.
How do I return the car at the airport?
Park it in the agreed garage spot, text Archies the details, and walk to your gate. The return is the delivery in reverse — contactless, digital, and built for departure mornings. No fuel-topping theater at a counter, no waiting for an agent to circle the car.
Why skip the airport rental counter at all?
Because the counter is where the time goes: the shuttle to the rental center, the queue, the upsell script, the walk across the lot. Delivery removes the whole sequence — you're driving in minutes. During peak season at MIA, that's routinely a 30-45 minute difference.
FAQ
Hotels, Airbnbs, and neighborhoods
Can the car be delivered to my hotel?
Yes. Archies delivers to hotel valet across Miami — including The 1 Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, and The W — and the car is left under your name. You walk out of the lobby, hand the valet your ticket, and drive. Returns work the same way in reverse.
Can the car be delivered to an Airbnb or private home?
Yes. Archies stages the car at your Airbnb or home address at the time you choose, with the details coordinated by text. It works even when your flight lands late — the car is in the driveway or on the street where Eddy says it is.
Which Miami neighborhoods does Archies cover?
All the ones you'd stay in: South Beach, Brickell, Wynwood, Doral, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Aventura, Hialeah, and Homestead, plus MIA and FLL airports. If you're somewhere else in Miami-Dade, text Archies the address — coverage is broader than the list.
Does delivery cost extra?
Any delivery cost is confirmed up front as part of your quote, based on the address, dates, and rental length — never bolted on at pickup. The number Eddy texts you is the number you pay. No counter fees, no airport concession surcharges, no surprise add-ons.
FAQ
Pricing and booking
How much does a rental from Archies cost?
The everyday fleet starts from $50/day for a midsize, with SUVs from $80/day, EVs from $90/day, and the Cybertruck at a flat $225/day. Final pricing depends on the vehicle, dates, delivery location, and rental length. Exotics are quoted per booking.
How do I book a car with Archies?
Pick your dates and category at archiesrentalsmia.com/book/, or just text (786) 252-3752 with your dates, where you're staying, and what you want to drive. Eddy confirms the exact car and the all-in price, and the contract and payment happen from your phone.
Are there weekly rates?
Yes. Weekly rates are available across the owned fleet and price better per day than the daily rate — they're the move for longer family stays and business trips. Text Archies your dates and delivery spot, and Eddy comes back with the all-in weekly number.
Can I extend my rental?
Usually, yes. Text Archies as early as you can, and if the vehicle is available for your extra days, Eddy extends the contract digitally on the spot. Extensions depend on availability, which is why the early text matters — no paperwork, no returning to swap cars.
Will the price change when I pick up the car?
No. The quote Eddy sends is all-in for your dates, vehicle, and delivery spot. There's no counter to walk past, so there's no counter upsell: no prepaid-fuel pitch, no surprise concession fee, no add-ons you didn't ask for. What was quoted is what's charged.
FAQ
The fleet
What cars does Archies rent?
Nine categories: midsize, full-size sedan, standard SUV, 7-seat premium crossover, 8-seat full-size SUV, luxury, convertible, electric, and the Cybertruck — plus a separate exotic fleet of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, G-Wagons, and more. Every category page lists the current representative vehicle and its from-rate.
Will I get the exact car in the photos?
Categories work on a representative-model basis — a Toyota Corolla or similar, a Chevrolet Tahoe or similar — and Eddy confirms the exact vehicle for your dates before you book. The one exception: the Cybertruck is reserved by name, so that exact truck is what arrives.
Which SUV should I rent for a family trip?
Count seats and bags: the standard SUV (from $80/day) fits a family of four, the premium crossover (from $95/day) adds a third row for seven, and the full-size SUV (from $110/day) seats eight with a real cargo hold. All three deliver to the airport garage.
Does Archies rent Teslas and electric cars?
Yes. The EV tier starts from $90/day with Tesla and similar electric cars, delivered charged with Supercharging network access. The Tesla Cybertruck is its own listing at a flat $225/day — the only vehicle on the fleet you can book by exact name.
Can I rent a convertible in Miami?
Yes — a Ford Mustang or similar convertible from $125/day, delivered top-down-ready to your airport garage, hotel valet, or door. If you want an exotic convertible instead, the fleet runs up through the Ferrari 488 Spider and Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, quoted per booking.
FAQ
Exotic rentals
How does exotic pricing work?
Every exotic is quoted per booking, because the vehicle, dates, and rental length move the number. Text Archies the car you want and your dates, and Eddy replies with an all-in rate, availability, and a delivery window. The quote is the real price — nothing appears later.
What are the requirements for an exotic rental?
Drivers must be 25 or older with a clean driving record, and full insurance coverage is required — text a photo of your insurance card and Eddy confirms fit before anything is booked. A refundable security deposit applies, with the amount confirmed up front per vehicle.
Can exotics be delivered to the airport or my hotel?
Yes. Exotics are delivered fueled and detailed to MIA and FLL airport garages, hotel valet stands, Airbnbs, and homes — same flow as the everyday fleet. Airport pickups are coordinated through the garage, not the curb, so the handoff is clean and unhurried.
What if the exotic I want isn't available for my dates?
Eddy suggests the closest match in the same class — a Urus when the Cayenne is out, a G63 when the G550 is booked. If nothing genuinely fits your dates, there's no charge and no pressure. The point is the right car, not any car.
